    Authentic red wine barrel heads are sourced directly from dismantled barrels and shipped in their original, unaltered condition. Having fulfilled their purpose in aging wine, they display visible signs of use, including dirt, scuffs, and distinctive markings or stampings from the distillery or cooperage of origin. These pieces have not been cleaned or sanded and may arrive in multiple sections or come apart during shipping. Constructed from several pieces of wood, most incorporate a tongue-and-groove design. For best results, especially in DIY projects, reassembly and reinforcement with wood glue and a backer plate is recommended. For an additional fee, a backer with glue and brad nails can be attached to the underside for enhanced stability. Head styles, distillery stamps, and other markings vary, and while requests for specific styles or stamps can be accommodated, when possible, no guarantees can be made. Coloration ranges from light blond to darker tones, with the underside showing visible char from the inside of the barrel. The barrel. Non hardening wax may appear along the outer edges. This is a natural occurrence from the coopering process.   • Half Whiskey Bourbon Barrel Cabinet

    This bar is made from a real, authentic, used and refurbished bourbon barrel. We start with a genuine barrel; we clean it with a wire wheel brush and remove most of the dirt and grime. Then we sand it, just enough to remove any rough edges, while still maintaining its rustic charm. Then we cut it in half and add a plywood back, which we stain the inside, so it blends in with the inside of the cabinet. Finally, we add the middle shelf which we make from real White Oak. The cabinet itself measures approximately 36 inches tall by 26 inches wide by 13 inches deep. The top head of the barrel measures about 22 inches wide by 12 inches deep. All barrels are different so these measurements may vary, but all will be close. We then have the option to add lights to the inside of the cabinet which come standard in the pricing with a 120V plug which is nicely hidden from view. The lights we provide are a soft white in color. We do our best to hide as much of the wire from the lights as possible. You can then select from the drop-down menu below what kind of engraving you want on the top of your cabinet. It can be your favorite brand, logo, or keep the original stamp that the barrel has already. An additional fee applies to customization. If you choose a custom design, please leave a note with what you want on the top of the barrel, and I will send you a layout for you to look over and approve before we do the engraving. All of our items are made from authentic bourbon barrels and have been used to distill bourbon or whiskey. All barrels are different! They may not look exactly like the ones in the photos. This happens after a barrel has been dried out after years of being soaked in bourbon or whiskey. We try to get out as many of these imperfections as we can without losing its natural rustic look, but this is what makes each item truly unique and one of a kind.     • FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS:  Instructions are included and explain how to cure your oak barrel and start sampling aged whiskey after just a few days. A small window of curing the barrel with water is required but it's not long and is worth the wait.

    Authentic red wine barrel heads are sourced directly from dismantled barrels and shipped in their original, unaltered condition. Having fulfilled their purpose in aging wine, they display visible signs of use, including dirt, scuffs, and distinctive markings or stampings from the winery or cooperage of origin. Cabernet wine barrel heads typically exhibit a red stain on the back or interior-facing side. These pieces have not been cleaned or sanded and may arrive in multiple sections or come apart during shipping. Constructed from several pieces of wood, most incorporate a tongue-and-groove design. For best results, especially in DIY projects, reassembly and reinforcement with wood glue and a backer plate is recommended. For an additional fee, a backer with glue and brad nails can be attached to the underside for enhanced stability. Head styles, distillery stamps, and other markings vary, and while requests for specific styles or stamps can be accommodated, when possible, no guarantees can be made. Coloration ranges from light blond to darker tones, with the underside often showing deep purple, reddish, or natural hues from the wine previously contained within the barrel. Harmless wine sugars may be present along the outer edges. Please note that the photos provided are examples only, depicting both front and back views of a barrel head; however, each listing is for a single head. Each lamp carries its own history—marks from the rick house, variations in grain, and exposed char along the edges; no two are exactly the same.
